Volunteer ministry provides the opportunity for you to serve with your gifts and talents, living in authentic community, and leading others to mature in the faith by responding to God’s call to grow together in Christ. We invite you to prayerfully consider where God is directing you to serve and then contact the ministry lead directly.
Small groups are a chance to engage in fellowship and spiritual growth. The current small groups meet as Sunday morning Bible studies, Monday night or Wednesday morning Men’s Bible studies, Wednesday & Thursday morning Ladies’ Bible studies, monthly Senior (Joyful Heirs) group activities, and various scheduled fellowship events each month and throughout the calendar year. The dates and times, as well as locations may vary according to the group needs. The announcements section of this website and the monthly newsletter will have more detailed information about events for the current week and month. Please feel free to call the church office at 904.287.0330 for more information.
Kara Smith, Children’s Ministry Director
Our focus is to train children as disciples of Jesus Christ so that they can go out into the world and touch their friends and family with the message of His salvation and love.
The children’s ministries of Switzerland Community Church include Sunday morning programs for infants through 5th graders and Wednesday evening programs for 3 year olds through 5th graders.
Our Sunday morning program consists of Sunday School and Children’s Church. During Sunday School, children will rotate through a variety of activities (lesson, craft, music, computers..) that help them to learn and retain the lesson. During the church hour, children will have a snack, recess and a fun-filled lesson taught on their level.
Our Wednesday evening offers AWANA (Approved Workmen are not Ashamed)… an exciting time of learning God’s word and hiding it in their hearts. The AWANA program follows the school calendar and is in recess during the summer.
Andrew Steier, Youth Director
Ignition Student Night – Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:30pm. Middle school students meet from 6:00-7:30pm; high schoolers meet from 7:00-8:30pm. Bring a friend or two who want to know more about “that Jesus guy,” come for the worship, or just be there because you love being with your Church family. Whatever it is… just be there!
Ignition Fellowship – Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 in the JCMC Auditorium. Grab some coffee or a smoothie and dig into a passage or two before breaking into your small group to reconnect and pray. Fellowship is vital for building one another up and practically applying the words of Scripture.
Ignition Discipleship – Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00pm in the JCMC Café. Hang out with friends for an hour playing dodgeball, basketball, Pictionary, Super Smash Bros., etc. before diving deep into the Word. If you want to know what’s in your Bible, this is the place to do it!

They just love to share the love of Jesus by using their talents and abilities to bless others in need. And they enjoy lunch together and a wonderful day with friends.
