Dearest Prayer Warriors,
Mike has taken a bad turn over past two days. Not sure when he’ll be bouncing back. Very busy with Appointments at Mayo and phone calls with both Mayo Palliative and Home Hospice Palliative Care discussions going on to figure out what’s best to get him comfortable and comforted. ️️️

My Pancreatic Cancer is now stage 4. I have 4 to 6 tumors in my liver. I start a new Chemo treatment on Monday (July 26th). The outlook doesn't look promising. If the Chemo is successful the median survival time for stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer is 8 to 10 months. But I know Whom I have believed in and He holds tomorrow. We serve a mighty God. Prayers are always appreciated.

Mike’s days continue to get harder and harder.
Lungs , breathing issues, Swelling from the Lymphedema fluid in his entire body make it extremely difficult for him to do simple daily functions without assistance anymore! I am needed by his side almost non stop daily.
We are still working with Oncologist and Pulmonologist at Mayo for Home Health Care to continue with Broooks HHC. We are now in the process of transition to Hospice Palliative assistance. They give me advise and assistance with some of his other needs as this disease progresses.
He is now a candidate for another lung catheter to be inserted for his left lung . This procedure will be scheduled shortly at Mayo and then I will be draining them both. Rt lung still daily, left will be 1 to 2 x weekly.
This will alleviate having to go to Mayo as well as a process necessary to transition to Full Hospice when the time comes.
We are ever thankful for ALL that God continues to do in our lives as HE sends us Angels here on earth and in Heaven looking out for us daily. Love to Everyone. Blessings and Prayers to all as many of you are struggling with so many needs yourselves! ️
In Him , Mike & Nora

I will give thanks and praise through all things!
God is good All the time!
So , we thought full Hospice was in order and met with an assessment Nurse last Thursday in our home.
We realized that is Not what Mike should have yet for now.
We also met with his Oncologist and Pulmonologist last Friday with Mayo and will continue treatments with them for as long as needed.
We will still be working with Brooks Home Health & Mayo.
Hospice here in Jacksonville, now has a Palliative Home Care which allows everyone to work together and then will ease into Full Hospice when the time comes , and allows for ease of transition.
Mike’s lungs continue to need revaluations at this point for possible new procedure as well as his chronic Lymphadema in All limbs now. Very severe.
Always so very blessed by everyones love and non stop prayers.
Much love to All!!
Mike & Nora ️️️

Thank you so much for all the incredible support, prayers and blessings from everyone. ️️️
Since Mike came home from the ER on Sunday through Today , he has had the most trying of days with more unnerving side effects from medications, respiratory issues,
Painful new issues and delayed treatments that were
So necessary, but just to risky to complete when they were scheduled. The last three days of June were the most intense ever! However, we were wonderfully surprised, loved , doted on, and supported through it all by visits from Mike’s Dad, Sister and Niece Kristi from WV along with cousins from Ocoee, Fl, Richmond, Va, & Baltimore,Md.
It was definitely so much what Mike needed. He finally got his Epidural injection now which is slowly, giving him some relief, but has a way to go yet, to try and ween him off his pain meds! Which is the immediate goal. As well as getting trying to get a handle of his severe Chronic Lymphedema! God’s will be Done. ️

I would covet your prayers for my family. I’m in day four of Covid and praying to keep my oxygen levels above 95 to avoid the hospital, but they are around 92. I’m on the right meds and praying for God’s healing! More importantly pray for Caleb and Tiffany. We are quarantining the best we can in separate rooms but Caleb has fever and symptoms so watching him very closely! Praise God Tiffany has no symptoms! The Bible says in James 5:16, “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” We must be a praying church that believes God is who He says he is and that we believe He can do anything in His sovereignty and power.
Ironically, we see this in Acts 12 when Herod killed James and arrested Peter with intentions on killing him. Peter is imprisoned and what did the church do? Read below and really focus on verse 5.
“About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church. He killed James the brother of John with the sword, and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread. And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people. So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.” Acts 12:1-5 ESV
What’s our next step for my family and everyone on this prayer chain? Trust God and walk in the obedience of action for earnest prayer! Spoiler alert if you keep reading. The angel of the Lord awoke Peter and said dress yourself, put on your sandals and follow me. The Bible says they walked past the first and second guard and the prison door opened on its own accord. Peter was free because earnest prayer was made to God by the church. What’s your next step?
Love, Shawn, Tiffany & Caleb
